Abstract
This paper analyzes Colombia s experience with bilateral and multilateral lending in the post-war period. Id divided in four sections. The first presents general background information on economic and social development in this period. Section II discusses of the business cycle. Particular emphasis is placed on balance of payment policies, since the management of foreign exchange shortages and booms has figured predominantly in economic policy in the past four decades.
