| dc.description | En mayo, el Índice de Confianza del Consumidor (ICC) completó cinco meses consecutivos de balances negativos pero mantuvo la tendencia ascendente de los dos últimos meses y se ubicó en niveles ligeramente superiores a los del mes anterior. La leve recuperación de la confianza obedeció a una mejora en el indicador de condiciones económicas que compensó el deterioro en el componente de expectativas. La confianza de los consumidores aumentó en tres de las cinco ciudades encuestadas y en los casos de Barranquilla y Bucaramanga regresó a niveles positivos. Tanto la disposición a comprar bienes muebles y electrodomésticos como a comprar vivienda aumentaron frente al mes anterior, aunque se mantuvieron en niveles negativos. | spa |
| dc.description.abstract | In May, the Consumer Confidence Index (CCI) completed five consecutive months of negative balances but maintained the upward trend of the past two months and stood at slightly higher levels than the previous month. The slight recovery in confidence was due to an improvement in the indicator of economic conditions which offset the deterioration in the expectations component. The consumer confidence increased in three of the five cities surveyed and in the cases of Barranquilla and Bucaramanga, the index returned to positive levels. Both the willingness to buy chattels and appliances and to buy housing increased from the previous month, but remained in negative territory. | spa |
