| dc.description | Desde 2014, las difíciles condiciones de vida en Venezuela han presionado una migración de sus habitantes a Colombia. De acuerdo con cifras oficiales el número de migrantes venezolanos en Colombia ascendía a 865.005 entre regulares e irregulares, un aumento de 108% con respecto al total registrado en 2017. La población venezolana que ha migrado a Colombia se caracteriza por ser en promedio más joven que la colombiana y presenta mayores tasas de participación en el mercado laboral. Si bien es cierto que la migración puede generar presiones sobre el mercado laboral, la literatura sugiere que estos impactos suelen ser marginas y, por el contrario, pueden presentarse impactos positivos. | spa |
| dc.description.abstract | Since 2014, the difficult living conditions in Venezuela have caused a migration of its inhabitants to Colombia. According to official data, the number of Venezuelan migrants in Colombia during the first semester of 2018 was 865,005 between regular and irregular, an increase of 108% with respect to the total registered in 2017. The Venezuelan population that has migrated to Colombia is characterized by being on average younger than the Colombian one and presents higher participation rates in the labor market. Although it is true that migration can generate pressures on the labor market, the literature suggests that these impacts are usually marginal and, on the contrary, positive impacts can occur. | spa |
