| spa |
dc.description.abstract | After years of work, reaching old age implies, in principle, the time to retire and enjoy the pension. However, around the world, a relatively large percentage of older adults who exceed retirement age remains active in the labor market. In Colombia, according to data of the Integrated Household Survey (GEIH) for 2017, 37% of the population of 60 years or more is employed. The active participation in the labor market of the population of 60 years or more has tended to grow over time due to the process of demographic transition. Therefore, it is relevant to understand the characteristics of this participation for the accurate design of public policies. Which should be aimed at mitigating the factors that explain involuntary participation and facilitate the voluntary participation of this population. | en |
